Description

Dedicated to the game of my childhood, beautiful and legendary, now forgotten - Kyrandia. Thank you, Westwood Studios, for a wonderful piece of art I was raised on.

The idea is borrowed from the game, you can find the original here. www.talking-time.net/showthrea…

I finished it only now but the first sketch of it I made is like a year old. About time, heh.

Yeah, my vision of Spike. Not that I'd like him to grow up, he's perfect the way he is. But we all get this wish sometimes, to let the characters live in our mind and change over time. And I wanted to draw older Spike cause... I don't like any of the variations I've seen so far. Whether a fat dragon from "Cutie Mark Chronicles" or that abomination from "Secret of my Excess", and somehow I think Hasbro would make him a flier even though he's obviously a land dragon. *sigh*

Not that I should be proud much, I know it's far from perfect. Especially Twilight, I failed at digitalizing her. You know how it goes, you make a sketch and remember what to be changed when you'll be working on the final color version, but then you go zoom 2000% and forget it all. XD

And I overload my picture again. I know I must be decisive and follow one path, yet I get temptation to try making it more simple, more Flash-like, make Flash shadows instead of... these. If a pro artist would look at that, he'd say I'm a gauss-blur-addict. XD *shameshame* So... yeah, fail at following Flash. Sorry.

"Dear Princess Celestia,
Today I learned that a juvenile dragon can eat up to 10 pounds of diamonds per day. Please send more gems.
Yours truly, Twilight"

Ah, that age old story of a Unicorn and her Dragon... or is it a Dragon and his Unicorn?
